Test concentrations measured at the start of the test: 0.23; 0.28; 0.37; 0.42; 0.49; 0.59; 0.61; 0.82; 1.08 mg/l. During the test, pH varied between 7.3 to 7.8. The test concentrations decreased by 5.4 to 38.1 % during the 48 -h test period.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
no
Remarks:
The criterion with respect to the stability of the test concentrations (decrease not > 20%) was not fulfilled in 4 out of the 9 tested. All other validity criteria had been fulfilled.
Conclusions:
The EC50 for mobility could not be determined at either 24 or 48 h of exposure, because no immobility of Daphnia magna was recorded at concentrations up to the maximum solubility of the test substance in water (ca. 1 mg/L). Although concentrations measured were not consistently stable during the test period, the substance appears to induce no acute effect on the mobility of the invertebrates exposed at or below its solubility in water.
