Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An GLP-guideline study on ready biodegradability according to OECD 301 B was conducted (RCC 2007). After 28 d no biodegradation of the test item was observed. Based on this result, the test substance is considered as poorly biodegradable. Additional, results on an OECD 303 A study are available using 20 mg/L as TOC of the test item (Ciba-Geigy, Dyestuffs and Chemicals Division 1990). After 21 days the mean value of elimination was 88 % TOC. However, only limited information (one-page summary) is given and no statement about GLP.
