Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a gas having no flammable range
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006Annex VII and section R.7.1.12.1 of ECHA guidance IR/CSA, the UN Test method N.4 for self-heating substances and mixtures do not need to be conducted if preliminary results exclude self-heating of the substance up to 400°C.
The substance is an inorganic, solid material that is synthesised at temperatures between 830 °C and 880 °C. No propensity for self-ignition was seen up to this temperature. Based on that and on long term eperience in use and handling of the susbstance testing for this endpoint is considered to be scientifically unjustified.
