Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test material was determined in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.15 under GLP conditions. All methodology and results were reported in full. The study was therefore assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the principles for assessing data quality as described by Klimisch et al. (1997).

The test flask was equilibrated at the test temperature in a flask heater. An aliquot of test material was added to the flask and was observed for signs of ignition for a period of up to 300 seconds. This procedure was repeated, varying the sample size when necessary, until the lowest temperature was determined at which ignition occurred within 300 seconds of insertion. When a clean flask was not used, the flask was flushed with air prior to the next determination. The room temperature and atmospheric pressure were recorded for each day of the test.

Under the conditions of the study the auto-ignition temperature of the test material was determined to be 362 ± 5 °C at 101 kPa.
