Description of key information

Biodegradation:
71% within 28 days (at a concentration of 10.3 mg/L) but the 10-day window was not reached
7% wihtin 28 days (at a concentration of 20.2 mg/L)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The biodegradability of the substance was tested for 28 days at concentrations of 10.3 and 20.2 mg/L (with the use of Tween 80).

The test substance was found to be readily biodegradable when tested at a concentration of 10.3 mg/L (71% wihtin 28 days) but the pass value was not reached in a 10 -day window. At a concentration of 20.2 mg/L, the substance is not biodegradable (7% within 28 days ).

Due to the poor solubility in water the speed of solubilization is likely to be the limiting factor for the rate of biodegradation
