Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: foam, powder, waterspray, Carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: none known.

Hazardous decomposition / combustion products: Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions. (Ammonia, nitrous gases (NOx), sulphur dioxide (SO2))

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory equipment.

Fire and explosion hazard: In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Respiratory: The usual precautions for handling chemicals should be observed.

Hand: Wear suitable gloves tested to EN 374. Take attention to breakthrough time of p-TSA.

Eye: No specific recommendations.

Skin and body: No specific recommendations.

Environmental precautions: Avoid contact with TMB-solution.

Methods for cleaning up: Collect as much as possible in a clean container for (preferable) reuse or disposal. Flush remainder with water.

Handling and storage

Assume a good basic standard of occupational hygiene is implemented. Ensure operatives are trained to minimise exposures.

Handling: Avoid dust generation. The usual precautions for handling chemicals should be observed

Hand: In case of full contact to products with >25% p-TSA, wear suitable gloves tested to EN 374. Take attention to breakthrough time of p-TSA.

Eye: The usual precautions for handling chemicals should be observed.

Skin and body: The usual precautions for handling chemicals should be observed.

Stability and reactivity

Reacts with acids with formation of heat.

Stable under recommended storage and handling conditions.

To maintain quality: Protect product from moisture and wet air. Keep container tightly closed and dry

Disposal considerations

Product: Please refer to your specific industry in the European Waste Catalogue. According to local regulations (mostprobably controlled incineration).

Contaminated packaging: According to local regulations.
