Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The substance is unlikely to sorb onto sediment on the basis of the associated physico-chemical parameters, hence it is deemed appropriate to waive this test.
Executive summary:

In accordance with Column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex IX, sediment simulation testing, information requirement 9.2.1.4 does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure to sediment is unlikely. The test substance entering the water is not likely to sorb onto suspended solids and sediment based upon the basis of the low partition coefficient value and high water solubility (and therefore high hydrophilicity) mitigating exposure to sediment.
