As no study or literature data are available to cover this endpoint a SDS from another company was used to address the irritating properties to skin and eye. Based on this SDS the substance is considered to be slightly irritating to the skin and highly irritating to the eye.


Justification for selection of skin irritation / corrosion endpoint:
The only information on irritating properties of MMC to the skin is derived from a SDS from another company dated 26 February 1990. There the substance is described as slightly irritating to the skin.
