Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The influence of Tetramethyltrimethylenediamine (TMPDA) to Daphnia magna in a semi-static (renewal at 2 -3 days interval) reproduction test has been investigated through OECD Guideline 211 and according to GLP requirements (Doig, 2013). The reproduction test was conducted at nominal TMPDA concentrations of 0.05, 0.16, 0.5, 1.6 and 5 mg/L, plus an untreated control. Chemical analysis indicated that concentrations of TMPDA were maintained within the range 81-132% of initial measured values. The geometric mean measured concentrations were 0.03, 0.15, 0.44, 1.74 and 4.64 mg TMPDA/L of the nominal test concentrations 0.05, 0.16, 0.5, 1.6 and 5 mg/L, respectively. Therefore, results were expressed on geometric mean measured concentrations. Validity criteria were fulfilled. The EC5, EC10, EC20and EC50 for reproduction could not be calculated as there was no significant difference in numbers of offspring in the 0.03, 0.15 and 0.44 mg/L treatment groups and the control. Therefore the EC5 was concluded to be >0.44 mg/L andand <1.74 mg/L. The no observed effect concentration (NOEC) for reproduction was determined to be 0.44 mg/L.
