Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guideline:
OECD Guideline 117 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), HPLC Method)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
HPLC method
Partition coefficient type:

Specific details on test material used for the study:
Batch/Lot number: 381890
Purity: 99.8%
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
<= 1
Temp.:
25 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
Under the above detailed chromatographic conditions, applying the environmentally relevant pH = 7, the test item has a log Pow ≤ 1.0. The test item is considered to be non-ionised at pH 7; at pH 3 the test item was considered to be in an ionised form and had a lower log Pow, also presented as < 1.0. There were no other detected components (impurities) of the test item.
Conclusions:
The test item has a log Pow ≤ 1.0.
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient (log Pow) of the test substance was estimated using a High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method. This method is suitable for the log Pow estimation in case of the proper UV absorbance and retention under normal conditions.
Based on the retention times, the estimated log Pow value of the test item was ≤ 1.0, under the detailed chromatographic conditions in this report, where the test item was considered to be in its non-ionised form, applying the environmentally relevant pH = 7.

Description of key information
