Conclusions:
The surface tension of p-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with 2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol (1:1) aqueous solution (ca. 200 mg / 200 ml) was found to be 71.4, 71.2, 71.1, 70.9, 71.1 and 71.3 mN/m (resulting a mean value 71 mN/m) at 20 °C using the ring method.

As this value is higher than 60 mN/m, p-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with
2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol (1:1) is classified as not surface active.
Executive summary:

In the course of this study aqueous solution was prepared containing 1 g/L concentration ofp-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with 2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol (1:1). Surface tension of this solution was determined applying the ring method. The test was performed with the help of Krüss Easy Dyne type tensiometer.

The surface tension of p-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with 2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol (1:1) aqueous solution (ca. 200 mg / 200 ml) was found to be71.4, 71.2, 71.1, 70.9, 71.1 and 71.3 mN/m (resulting a mean value 71 mN/m) atusing the ring method.

As this value is higher than 60 mN/m, p-Nitrobenzoic acid, compound with 2,2’,2”-nitrilotriethanol (1:1) is classified as not surface active.
