Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing agents: Water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry extinguishing agent or carbon dioxide.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx). Flammable.

- Advice for firefighters: Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.

- Additional information: No data available.

Accidental release measures

- Personal Precautions, Protective and Emergency Equipment procedures to be followed: Avoid the formation of dust. Do not inhale vapour/mist/gas. Ensure adequate ventilation. For personal protective equipment, see section 8 "Exposure control/Personal protection" of the SDS.

- Environmental protection measures: Prevent further leaks or spills if it can be done without risk. Do not flush to sewer. Avoid release to the environment.

- Methods and Equipment for Retention and Clean-up: Collect and store away from dust. Sweep together and collect. Dispose of in suitable, closed containers.

- Reference to other sections: Disposal: see section 13 "Disposal consideration" of the SDS.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

In case of dust formation, provide adequate ventilation. Information on protective measures can be found in section 2.2 of the SDS.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Keep container tightly closed in a dry, well-ventilated place. Store in a cool place. Recommended storage temperature 2 - 8 °C. Storage class (TRGS 510): 13: Non-combustible Solids

Exposure controls / personal protection

- Parameters to be monitored:

Components with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: Contains no substances with occupational exposure limits.

- Exposure control and monitoring:

Appropriate technical control equipment: The usual precautionary measures for handling chemicals must be observed. Wash your hands during breaks and at the end of work.

- Personal Protective Equipment:

Eye/face protection: For eye protection, use only equipment that complies with the official standards of the  such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166 (EU), have been tested and approved.

Skin protection: Working with gloves. Gloves must be examined before use. Use a suitable removal method (without touching the outer surface of the glove) to avoid skin contact with this product to be avoided. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in framework of legal requirements and good laboratory practice. Washing and dry your hands. The protective gloves selected must meet the specifications of the EC Directive 2016/425 and the resulting EN 374 standard.

Body protection: Protection of the body according to the type, concentration and quantity of the dangerous product. Select the materials and according to the respective workplace. The type of protective equipment depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance in the workplace.

Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection is not necessary. If protection is desired, a breathing mask with filter type N95 (US) or type P1 (EN 143) must be used. Respiratory protective devices and components must be certified according to appropriate government standards (e.g. NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU)) must be approved.

Environmental Exposure Monitoring: Prevent further leakage or spillage, if it can be done safely. Do not allow to enter sewers. Entry into the environment should be avoided.

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity: No data available.

2. Chemical stability: The product is stable under standard conditions.

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions: No data available.

4. Conditions to avoid: No data available.

5. Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents.

6. Hazardous decomposition products:

- In case of fire, dangerous decomposition products may be formed: Carbon oxides, Nitrogen oxides (NOx).

- Other decomposition products: No data available

- In case of fire: see chapter 5 "Fire fighting measures" of the SDS.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:

Product: Dispose of residual quantities and non-recyclable solutions with a licensed waste disposal company. These products must be dissolved in or mixed with a flammable solvent and incinerated in a chemical incinerator (with afterburner and exhaust air scrubber).
