Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

At 20°C the solubilities were found as follows:

31 mg/L with a loading rate of 0.1 g/L at pH 6.6

85 mg/L with a loading rate of 0.5 g/L at pH 6.7

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
31 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The determination was carried out by flask method according to OECD Guideline 105.

The test item is a complex mixture. The water solubility can therefore only be investigated via determination of dissolved amounts of chromium and carbon contained in the test item. The solubility in water is not a constant, but increases with the mass of test item applied in the experiment.

Since the solubilities quantified by TOC can be affected by impurities (butyldiglycol and Na-salicylate) therefore the solubilites quantified by Cr contend can be considered suitable for using this endpoint and further assessment.
