The bioaccumulation potential of Fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers, polymers with 2-ethylhexanol and neopentyl glycol (CAS 68552-19-2) is expected to be very low. The substance properties like the very low water solubility and high molecular weight prevent an uptake of the substance. The very high partition coefficient (log Kow>10) indicates a low bioaccumulation potential. The relationship between increasing log Kow values and increasing potential to bioaccumulate does not apply at very high log Pow values. The BCF value of substances with log Pow values >10 is usually lower than 2000 indicating a low potential to bioaccumulate.
