Description of key information

A study was carried out according to OECD Guideline 111 (hydrolysis in function of pH). In the course of the preliminary test, the test item was found to be hydrolytically stable at

50°C at pH 4 (<10% hydrolysis after 5 days), whereas full hydrolysis (100%) was noted at pH 7 and 9 at 50°C. Therefore, further testing was necessary at pH 7 at 40°C and at pH 9 at 30°C and 40°C. At pH 7, the half-life times were 9.43 h at 40°C and 2.05 h at 50°C; at pH 9, t1/2 were 1.04 h at 30°C and 0.98 h at 40°C.

In conclusion, the extrapolated half-life times were as follows:

- pH 4 at 25°C: > one year (> 8760 hours)

- pH 7 at 25°C: 4.9 days (118 hours)

- pH 9 at 30°C: 1.04 hours
