Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

HFP kinetic dimer is not readily biodegradable (≤12 % BOD/ThOD) in a 28-day Closed Bottle (OECD301D) test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

HFP kinetic dimer is not readily biodegradable and is unlikely to be substantially biodegraded in water systems based on the result of the OECD301D test. However, with a water solubility of 649 µg/L at 22 °C, a vapor pressure of 34.7 kPa at 20 °C, and a dimensionless Henry's Law constant of 5690 at 22 °C, it is unlikely that HFP kinetic dimer would remain in the aquatic compartment over the long term.
