Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In this test conditions, the surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of the test item CETONAL at 20°C was determined to be 53.01 mN/m (standard deviation +/- 0.04 mN/m).
Due to the fact the surface tension is < 60 mN/m, the test item is classified as surface active substance.
Executive summary:

The surface tension of an aqueous solution with a concentration of 90% saturated concentration of CETONAL was determined according to the OECD Guideline 115.

The determination was carried out with a tensiometer in the ten sucessive measurements with a standard deviation <= 0.05 mN/m at a temperature of 20 +/- 0.5°C.

The surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of the test item CETONAL at 20°C was determined to be 53.01 mN/m (standard deviation +/- 0.04  mN/m).

Due to the fact the surface tension is < 60  mN/m, the test item is classified as surface active substance.
