Description of key information

The short-term toxicity of the registered substance to fish was assessed using QSAR ToolBox predictions supported by literature data on the registered substance and analogous substances. The QSAR predictions calculate the LC50 to be > 100 mg/L for both Brachydanio rerio and Oryzias latipes (no confident predictions could be obtain on other fish species). The lowest prediction value was a 96h EC50 of 120 mg/l for Brachydanio rerio.

The short-term toxicity of the registered substance to aquatic invertebrates was assessed according to OECD Testing Guideline 202. A 48h EC50 of 6840 mg/l was obtained on Daphnia magna.

The short-term toxicity of the registered substance to aquatic algae was assessed according to OECD Testing Guideline 201. A 48h EC50 of 738 mg/l was obtained on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.

It can be concluded that the registered does not meet the criteria for classification as toxic to the aquatic environment according to according to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures.
