Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

211 °C

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. The RÖMPP handbook (RÖMPP 2014) reports the melting point to be 211 °C. Furthermore Specht 1939 (REAXYS 2014) reports the melting point to be 210 °C and the Hommel handbook for hazardous substance (Hommel 2014) reports the melting point to be 220 °C and. Three independent literature sources report the melting point in the same melting range. Thus, as the melting point of 211 °C was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment as this value was from the most reliable literature source.
