Acute toxicity based on chicken

The acute oral tox based on cockerels was determined to be >1000 mg/kg bw.

A study on Mallard ducks on the substance 3,5,6 -trichloro-2 -pyridinol show that the substance is slightly toxic with an LC50 (ppm) >5620. Based on read-across the substance 3,5,6 -trichloro-2 -pyridinol, sodium salt is not expected to be harmful to ducks.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification not required from the results given in the publications. However, given the high dosis compared to the low mortality, the material may be considered harmful.
