Any other information on results incl. tables

In the screening test according to Grewer with the pure test substance an exothermal effect starting at 230°C was observed, which led to a maximum product temperature of 340°C.

In the screening test with the kieselgur mixture (1:1) an exothermal effect starting at 230°C was observed. Self-heating led by a multi-step reaction to a temperature of 450°C.

In the hot storage test self-heating was observed at 180°C leading to a maximum temperature of > 500°C. Based on the determined parameters (kinetics, conductibility of temperature) a self-heating temperature of 200°C for the 1 L wire basket (10 cm x 10 cm) and a self-heating temperature of 265°C for the wir basket 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm was calculated.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Annex I, 2.11.4
