Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a non-GLP compliant study the melting point of the test material was determined according to the standardised guideline ASTM E 794-98 (Standard Test Method for Melting and Crystallization Temperatures by Thermal Analysis) which is similar to OECD 102. The test material was analysed using differential scanning calorimetry. Under the conditions of the study, the test material was determined to have a melting point of 41.8 ºC which is equivalent to 107.3 ºF or 315.0 K.

The study was performed to standardised guidelines with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the submitted data. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 and considered suitable for assessment as an accurate reflection of the test material.

The available data are considered to be complete and the result determined, melting point 41.8 °C, was taken forward for risk assessment.
