Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: sediment simulation testing
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available

Transformation products:
not measured
Remarks:
In the three available biodegradation tests only 0, 2 and 9% degradation was observed, showing that no relevant primary degradation takes place.
Endpoint:
biodegradation in water: simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water
Data waiving:

Remarks:
In the three available biodegradation tests only 0, 2 and 9% degradation was observed, showing that no relevant primary degradation takes place.

Description of key information

Based on the information from screening biodegradation and hydrolysis tests it has to be assumed that the test substance is persistent in the environment as no biotic or abiotic degradation was observed. Further biodegradation testing will probably come to the same results. As the chemical safety assessment does not indicate the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance, further simulation tests are not necessary.
