2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
no duplicate measurements.
Principles of method if other than guideline:
No determination by testing the sample at least in duplicate
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
Melting / freezing pt.:
220 °C
Remarks on result:
other: No pressure is reported

The result showed that a sharp and endothermic signal of -162 J/g occurs between 199 and 252 °C with a peak maximum at 223 °C.

Conclusions:
Carbamic acid [(1S)-,2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]-1-[(4-ethoxyphenyl)methyl]ethyl]-,phenylmethyl ester, dihydrochloride (9Cl) melts at 220 °C and no pressure was reported.
Executive summary:

The melting point of carbamic acid [(1S)-,2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]-1-[(4-ethoxyphenyl)methyl]ethyl]-,phenylmethyl ester, dihydrochloride (9Cl) of 220 °C was tested according to OECD Guideline 102 by DSC measurements with a heating rate of 10 K/min on a NETZSCH-DSC 204 F1 Phoenix ASC in aluminum crucibles with perforated lids and no pressure was reported.

Description of key information
