Details on test solutions:
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION OF TEST SOLUTION (especially for difficult test substances)
A stock solution with a concentration of 100 mg/L was prepared with test item and aquarium water. The test solutions were prepared by adding the appropriate volume of the stock solution to the appropriate amount of aquarium water so that the total volume of the test solutions was 5 L. The test media were freshly prepared just before the start of the test (= introduction of fishes).

Details on results:
- Behavioural abnormalities: Loss of equilibrium was observed in the test item treated groups of 0.466 (nominal 0.50); 1.032 (nominal 1.00) and 4.240 (nominal 4.00) mg/L. Spiral swimming was observed at the test item concentration of 0.466 (nominal 0.50) mg/L.
Sublethal observations / clinical signs:

Mortality:

Mortality occurred at the test item concentrations of 0.466 (nominal 0.50); 1.032 (nominal 1.00); 2.105 (nominal 2.00) and 4.240 (nominal 4.00) mg/L.

Analytical Results:

The analytically determined mean test item concentrations in the analysed test media varied in the range of 64 % to 110 % of the nominal value during the study. As the deviation of the measured concentrations from the nominal values was higher than 20 % in some cases, all reported biological results are related to the mean of the measured concentrations of the test item.
