Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In conclusion, the log of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of FP-100 was estimated to be log Koc > 5.63 which is equal to a Koc value of > 426580 using the HPLC method. This value indicates that FP-100 is immobile and remains preferably in soil.

Additional information

The test item solution was injected three times and the combined reference solution was injected six times. The log Koc of the test item was calculated using a regression curve (log k vs. log Koc) and was found to be 7.4 (main peak) and 9.2 (second peak), which is equal to a K value of 26588297 (main peak) and 1450231106 (second peak). The retention times of both test item peaks were higher than the retention time of the highest reference item used (2,4-DDT) with log Koc 5.63, which is equal to a Koc 426580. In the present study the reference items covered the range of log Koc 1.25 to log Koc 5.63.

The chromatography of the test item resulted in two peaks. The retention times of the peaks were reproducible. The HPLC method was therefore considered to be suitable for the purpose of the study.

The capacity factor (k’) was calculated for each reference item using the retention times. The tabulated values represent rounded mean results, which were obtained by calculation using the exact raw data.
