Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

non flammable (EU Method A.10, preliminary test )
no pyrophoricity (EU Method A.13, assessment of chemical structure)
no flammability on contact with water (EU Method A.12, assessment of chemical structure + simple experiment)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

In the preliminary test prodecure of EU Method A.10 2,2-[2-(3-butoxypropyl)-1,1-dioxo-1,2,4-benzothiadiazin-3-yI]-5’-tert-butyl-2-(5,5-dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-1,3-oxazolidin-3-yI)-2’-[(2-ethylhexyl)thio]acetanilide (UY-330) could not be ignited with the flame of a gas-burner. The substance melted and turned yellow (original colour: off-white) in contact with the ignition source. After removal of the flame, no propagation of combustion throughout the test substance pile was observed. Therefore the substance is not “highly flammable” according to the criteria as described in the method A.10 of EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC.

Based on experience in handling and use and the chemical structure pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not to be expected.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:

In the test according to EU Metod A.10 the test substance could not be ignited with a flame.

Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected.
