The test item didn't pass the 125 µm sieve. So, the test item was dried by a heating chamber and grounded twice. But it wasn't possible. This can be considered as uncritical as the test item was used as given.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In the pre-test, the mixture of cellulose and test item burned with orange sooting flame.
The mixture carbonized.
The maximum burning rate of mixtures of a reference item (Ba(NO
3)2) was determined. Likewise, the burning rates of mixtures of the test item with cellulose (in different proportions) were determined. The burning rates of the three mixtures with the highest burning rate were determined six times.
The average burning rate undercut the maximum burning rate of the mixture of reference item and cellulose.
The test item 1-butyl-5-[(4-chlorophenyl)azo]-1,2-dihydro-6-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-
oxonicotinonitrile is considered to have
no oxidising properties.
