Results

The test item N, N-dihydroxyethyl-p-toluidine shows a melting area of crystalline main compartments between 30 and 59 °C in the 1st heating run according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value form repeat determination). Additionally, the test item shows a glass transition temperature at ca. -35 °C in the 2nd heating run.

Melting of main component (1st heating run)

30 °C and 59 °C (from 1st measurement)

30 °C and 60 °C (from 2nd measurement)

29 °C and 60 °C (from 3rd measurement)

The cooling run shows no crystallization.

Conclusion
The test item N, N-dihydroxyethyl-p-toluidine shows a melting area of crystalline main compartments between 30 and 59 °C according to the definition in the OECD Guideline 102 (mean value from repeat determination).
