Additional information

Experimental data on the toxicity of 2-piperidinoethanol (CAS 3040-44-6) to aquatic algae are available. The toxicity of the test substance (CAS 3040-44 6) to the test organism Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was assessed according to OECD 201. The test item concentrations were analytically verified (mean recovery: 75 - 100% to nominal values). The effect values are based on nominal concentrations. The obtained ErC50 (72 hr) was 1.56 mg/L, the 72 -h ErC10 was 0.29 mg/L (BASF SE, 2019, study no.: 60E0154/18059).

Based on the lowest available effect value, the substance is considered to be acutely toxic to algae.
