Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
other: the test substance did not ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. Instead of ignition, the test substance melted

The test substance did not ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. Instead of ignition, the test substance melted.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the test substance was not considered as a flammable solid.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the substance according to EU Method A.10. The test substance was formed into a particle train. In the preliminary screening test, the substance was ignited by a hot flame from a gas burner with a diameter of about 6 mm at one end of the pile. Propagation of flame along the test substance train was assessed over 200 mm of the train for 4 min. The test substance did not ignite by a hot flame from a gas burner. Instead of ignition, the test substance melted. Under the study conditions, the substance was not considered as a flammable solid (Kintrup, 2016).

Description of key information
