Additional information

PNEC aquatic is based on the lowest predicted EC50 value for individual components present in the "C7-C10 hydrocarbon" group, which is a daphnia EC50 of 0.22 mg/L (see aquatic toxicity endpoint summary for details). The terrestrial and soil PNECs have been derived from PNECaquatic using the equilibrium partitioning method. Applying a conservative approach, the lowest test concentration applied in a ready biodegradability for a constituent belonging to the C7-C10 constituent group that resulted in a ready biodegradation pass and/or no toxicity to the inoculum was used to derive PNEC STP.
