Details on results:
The lowest standard analyzed for calculation of the calibration curve was 1.515 mg/L. The calibration curve was highly linear and of excellent fit (see plot attached). Therefore, extrapolation to lower calibration range seems to be acceptable. The reasoning to do so is because a "lower than value" is of no worth for assessment of enviromental fate.
Attached to the report is the evaluation of one measurement ("sample A") for Waradur LG. If samples were assigned numbering according to inccreasing incubation time, 24 h incubation at 30°C followed by 24 hours equilibration at 20°C would characterize this sample. Three replicate measurements were performed, distinct peaks were obtained, and SD (concentration) was low (0.00914 mg/L). The determined mean concentration is given as 0.5465 mg/L (single rounded values: 0.5530 mg/L; 0.5237 mg/L; 0.5401 mg/L).
Because this concentration refers to TOC analysis, due to oxygen being part of the substance, the value based on MW will be somewhat higher.

Preliminary test

Three preliminary tests were carried out with specified amounts of the test item and 100 mL and 500 mL demineralized water, respectively. After each addition of an amount of water, the mixture was stirred for at least 24 hours, and visually checked for any undissolved particles.

The preliminary test showed that the water solubility of the test item is < 10 mg/L. As the test item was a mixture of different constituents the water solubility was determined by the flask method (instead of the column elution method) in the main test.

Flask method

The flask method was performed as described above. The data for the evaluation are given in the table below. After the equilibration time precipitate was observed in the flasks of the experiments excluding the blank experiment. The water solubility was calculated from the measured and unrounded concentration values and not from the rounded values given in the following table:
