Description of key information

With high probability sodium prop-2-enesulphonate is acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of sodium prop-2-enesulphonate was studied with the water flea Daphnia magna, in accordance to EU Method C.2 [BASF AG, 1989]. Up to the highest test concentration of 500 mg/L sodium prop-2 -enesulphonate no effect observed.
