Multimodal distribution with a small shoulder at 1µm and a maximum at about 15µm.

By this study, particle size distribution was determined by laser diffraction technology. The study was conducted according to the european commision regulation EC 440/2008 under consideration of the guideline OECD 110, CIPAC MT 187 and ISO13320. The test samples were tested as they were delivered. There was no further milling or drying performed. The substance was applied as liquid dispersion in distilled water.2 independent tests were each with 3 measurements were run.

The median particle size D50 of the test item deduced from the particle size distributions was 14.4 µm. The particle size D10 of the test item deduced from the particle size distributions was 5.8 µm. The particle size D90 of the test item deduced from the particle size distributions was 27.5 µm. Small proportion (0.93%) has a particle size diameter < 1.0 µm.

Description of key information

Particle size distribution was determined by laser diffraction technology. The study was conducted according to the european commision regulation EC 440/2008 under consideration of the guideline OECD 110, CIPAC MT 187 and ISO13320. The test samples were tested as they were delivered. There was no further milling or drying performed. The substance was applied as liquid dispersion in distilled water.

The median particle size D50 of the test item deduced from the particle size distributions was 14.4 µm. 10% of all particles have a particle size diameter of < 5.8 µm, 90% of all particles have a diameter < 27.5 µm. Small proportion (0.93%) has a particle size diameter < 1.0 µm.
