First-aid measures

General information: Avoid chance of exposure by any feasible way.

After inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air.If breathing becomes irregular or ceases, apply mouth-to-mouth resuscitation or artifical respiration immediately. Get medical attention.

After skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing, wash off the skin with plenty of water.

After eye contact: Rinse the eyes with water for several minutes with eyelids open wide. Having rinsed the eyes, obtain ophthalmologic attention as soon as possible.

After swallowing: Wash out the mouth with plenty of water, give plenty of water to drink, then obtain medical attenton immediately.

Information for doctor: The physician must be informed on the time, type and extent of exposure. If needed, show the safety data sheet to the physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: The extinguishing media must be chosen depending on the characteristics of burning substance. Available extinguishing media: water spray, extinguishing powder, carbon dioxid, foam.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Full water-jet are not suitable for extinguishing.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Substanse is not combustible. Decomposition products: hydrogen cyanide.

Advice for firefighters:  Outdoors stay on the weather-side and extinguish from there. In closed places, and in case of wreck, wear fireproof working clothes and use self-contained breathing apparatus.

Other information: Class of flammability hazard: not flammable

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:  Only the trained personnel in charge of release is allowed to be present at the site of spilling, wearing the prescribed protective equipments.

Environmental precautions: Hinder the spilled substance from entering the soil, sewers or living water.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Collect spilt substance aspiring to the lowest possible dust-level. Put the collected substance into adequately labelled empties and transport them to the site of disposal, then wash the contaminated area with plenty of water.

Reference to other sections: Not required.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:  Take off contaminated clothing avoiding contamination of skin. It is necessary to wash a hand and a face with water and a soap

after the work made with the substance.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, free from direct sunlight place.Storage in a tightly fitting package.

Specific end use(s): Reagent.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls: Closed system, specific processes (eg. sampling) usage of local exhaust ventilation. The air-space of workplace cannot contain such substance which has an occupational exposure limit.

Individual protection measures / personal protective equipment: The personal protective equipment for the working process are determined by internal standards.

Eye/face protection: Wear closed protection glasses, or the respirator mask.

Skin protection: Closed protective clothing against particulate matter.

Hand protection: Protective gloves made of butyl and nitrile and neopren.

Respiratory protection: Respirator with B2-P3 filter type or with more protective filter cartridge.

Environmental exposure controls: Typically the substance cannot enter the environment.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Stable under normal circumstances.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: incompantibility with below materials.

Conditions to avoid: Sensitive to the following physical effects: intense heat.

Incompatible materials: magnesium, strong basics, nitrates, strong oxidisers, strong acids.

Disposal considerations

Suggestions for disposal procedures of the substance/product: It must be neutralized before the incineration.

Suggestions for disposal procedures of contaminated packaging (vessels): Flammable empties must be incinerated in waste increation plant, in compliance with local regulations.
