Additional information

Short description of key information:
Available reports (AMES) indicate that DIMETHYLSUCCINYLOSUCCINATE is not mutagenic.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

DIMETHYLSUCCINYLOSUCCINATE was tested in Bacterial Reverse Mutation Tests. No concentration-related increase and no significant or reproducible increase at one or more concentrations in the number of revertant colonies was observed. Thus the test substance is considered non-mutagenic in this test system. These findings do not meet criteria for classification according to 67/548/EEC (2.2 DSD-DPD) or REGULATION (EC) o 1272/2008 (2.1 GHS). Therefore classification is not warrantable.
