Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Read-across from Alcamizer 5 (EC no: 422-150-1), Alcamizer P93 (EC no: 423-570-6) and Magnesium aluminium hydroxide carbonate (EC no. 234-319-3): the relative density of Aluminium magnesium carbonate hydroxide is between 2.16 and 2.42 at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The density of three analogue substances (Alcamizer 5 and Alcamizer P93) was determined using a gas comparision pycnometer or Gay-Lussac's type pycnometer method. Temperature during determination was 20 °C or 25°C.

Alcamizer 5 has a reletive density at 20°C of 2.16 g/cm³ (= 2.16*10³ kg/m³). Alcamizer P93 has a reletive density at 20°C of 2.42 g/cm³ (= 2.42*10³ kg/m³). Magnesium aluminium hydroxide carbonate (HT-6) has a relative denisty at 25°C of 2.2 g/cm³.

Based on this data the relative density of Aluminium magnesium carbonate hydroxide is expected to range between 2.1 and 2.4 g/cm³.

Key value for CSA: relative density at 20°C is between 2.1 and 2.4 g/cm³
