Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to fish. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study on the acute toxicity of the read-across substance (CAS 7023-61-2) to fish is available. The test system was set up according to OECD guideline 203. Danio rerio were exposed to the substance for 96 hours in a static test system. At test termination a LC50 >100 mg/l based on nominal concentrations was determined (BASF SE, 2007).

The results are supported by a preliminary study on the read-across substance CAS 6417-83-0. However, only limited information is available and the study is not assignable. Nevertheless, the test gave a LC50 value after 96 h of exposure of > 100 mg/L. No effects have been observed up to 100 mg/L and the NOEC was determined to be >= 100 mg/L.

Hence, the test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to fish. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

The read-across justification is attached in chapter 13.
