Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The melting and oxidation tests were done for the anode slime samples 09TT03745, 09TT03746, 09TT06661 and 09TT06662.The TG/DSC curves of these tests are presented in Appendixes A - D of th study report

During the melting tests of the anode slime (09TT03745) sample was heated in Al2O3crucible using nitrogen atmosphere. The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature ranges 126 – 200 °C, 324 – 360 °C, 780 – 857 °C and 942 – 946 °C. The mass of the sample starts to decrease at the temperature range 126 – 200 °C and decreases step by step. These phenomena indicate, that some components of the sample start to decompose and melt in the crystal water already at the temperature range 126 - 200 °C.

During the melting tests of the anode slime (09TT03746) sample was heated in Al2O3crucible using nitrogen atmosphere. The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature range 71 – 106 °C and 944 – 951 °C. The mass of the sample decreases all the time step by step. These phenomena indicate, that some components of the sample decompose and evaporate.

During the melting tests of the anode slime (09TT06661) sample was heated in Al2O3crucible using nitrogen atmosphere. The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature range 120 – 132 °C, 1177 – 1183 °C and 1295 – 1302 °C. The mass of the sample starts to decrease ~120 °C. These phenomena indicate that some components of the sample decompose and evaporate.

During the melting tests of the anode slime (09TT06662) sample was heated in Al2O3crucible using nitrogen atmosphere. The endothermic peaks in the curve are at the temperature range 88 – 141 °C and 1300 – 1398 °C. The mass of the sample starts to decrease ~100 °C. These phenomena indicate that some components of the sample decompose and evaporate.
