Biodegradation in water: screening tests

Description of key information

The substance was found to be inherently biodegradable in an OECD 301F test (42% biodegradation by activated sludge after 28 days).

In addition, the biotic degradation products were identified and quantified via the QSAR CATALOGIC 301C Model v.11.15. Metabolic trees and quantities of each degradation product (in mol/mol parent substance) were estimated via this model. The in silico approach was chosen as the most appropriate method to assess the degradation products considering that the parent substance is a complex UVCB consisting of several major constituents. All known constituents were taken into account in this assessment.
