Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The log Koc value for the Linear CaDDBS at pH 3 was > 5.0 and at pH 10 was < 1.5. OECD Guideline 121: HPLC Method. The Branched CaDDBS is expected to have similar Koc values.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
2.74

Additional information

The soil adsorption coefficient of Linear CaDDBS was determined by the HPLC method according to OECD guideline 121. The log Koc was determined at pH 3 and pH 10 at temperature of 20.62-22.70 °C. The log Koc value at pH 3 was > 5.0. The log Koc value at pH 10 was < 1.5. The geometric mean is 2.74. The Branched CaDDBS is expected to have similar Koc; however, attempts to conduct the study with the Branched CaDDBS were unsuccessful. As the branched test item did not retain on the column and the screening method assesses retention to soil, the lab considered that the test item would not significantly adsorb to soil.
