Auto flammability was checked with the Grewer-screening test (Grewer oven). the test material is placed into a small wire basket of 8 cm3 Volume and heated with a preheated airstream at a rate of 1.8 K/min. The internal sample temperature is measured against an inert refenence substance (graphite). In case of melting of the sample an additional measurement in a 1:1 mixture of the substance with kieselguhr is taken. Thus the autflammability potential of the sample in contact with porous materials or high specific surfaces is simulated
