First-aid measures

After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.

After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water

After contact with eyes: Rinse immediately with gently running water for 15 minutes, maintaining eyelids open. Consult an ophthalmologist or a physician.

After ingestion: Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink. Get medical treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder.

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2).

Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Environmental precautions: If the product gets into drains, inform the relevant authorities immediately. Do not discharge into the drains/surface waters/groundwater.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Place in suitable containers and send for recovery or disposal. Take up mechanically.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Take precautions against accumulation of electrostatic charge. Keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid influence of heat.

Dust explosion class:  ST1 Capable of dust explosion.

Advice on storage compatibility: Not required.

Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed and dry in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Occupational exposure controls:

General protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust.

Hygiene measures: Work in an adequately ventilated room.Change contaminated clothes immediately.

Respiratory protection : Short term: filter apparatus, Filter P2

Hand protection: PVC gloves. With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition: 270-280°C. No decomposition if used as prescribed.

Disposal considerations

Product: In accordance with regulations for hazardous waste, must be taken to a hazardous waste disposal site.

Uncleaned packaging: Regulations concerning reuse or disposal of used packaging materials must be observed.
