Additional information

Acute toxicity studies have been conducted in fish, daphnia, algae and sludge. In summary, reported results indicated no acute toxicity to any of the tested species with EC/LC50 values of 564 mg/L in fish (96 hr), >1000 mg/L in daphnia (48 hr),>1000 mg/l for microorganisms (30 min) and an ErC50 of 592 mg/ for algae (72 hr). Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether (TPnB) is classified as readily biodegradable and aquatic toxicity data indicate no acute toxicity to aquatic species. The risk assessment shows that the PEC/PNEC ratio is clearly < 1 in surface water, indicating no need for further information or testing.
