Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

An OECD TG 301D (Closed Bottle Test) guideline study in compliance with GLP is available for the test substance. In this study, 2 mg/L of the test substance was exposed for 28 days to secondary activated sludge from a wastewater plant treating predominantly domestic wastewater. Endogenous respiration or microorganisms degrading acetate were not affected throughout the test. After the 28-day exposure period 63% of the test substance was biodegraded. The pass level of 60% was reached after 10 to 11 days upon achieving 10% biodegradation. Therefore, the test substance fulfilled the 14-day time window. Based on the findings, the test substance is classified as readily biodegradable.
