other: The pH of the aqueous sample was determined after 72 hours stirring.
Details on results:
The results for the samples taken at 24, 48 and 72 hours are given in Table 1 below.
The maximum difference (MD) of the concentrations determined in the 24, 48 and 72 hour test samples was 15 %. According to the guidelines, the water solubility of the test substance is given as the mean value of the analysed concentrations.
In the pre-treated sample from the bank water mixture a small response was observed, the maximum contribution was 0.06 %, thus neglegible.

The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of PURASOLV®EHL (2 -ethylhexyl-S-lactate). The water solubility of the test substance at 20 °C was 0.429 g/L. The pH of the aqueous sample after 72 hours stirring was 6.5.
