Description of key information

Flammability (pyrophoric properties) = non flammable; EU Method A.13; Duisterwinkel AE, Bal EA, 1993

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of the test material (pyrophoric properties) was assessed in accordance with EU Method A.13. Under the conditions of the test, the test material did not spontaneously ignite on contact with diatonite. The test material is therefore not classified as highly flammable in elation to its pyrophoric properties.

The available data is complete and the conclusion that the test material is non-flammable was taken forward for risk assessment.

Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Regulation EC No. 1272/2008, the test material does not require classification for flammability as it produced negative results in all the flammability tests performed.
