Complete suit protecting against chemicals

Self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 133)

Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment may intervene.

Stop the leak. Turn leaking containers leak-side up to prevent the escape of liquid.

Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

Environmental Precautions:

Contain the spilled material by bunding.

Methods for Cleaning or Taking Up:

Recovery

Pump up the product into a spare container :- suitably labelled.

Acid resistant materials.

with a closing device.

Neutralization

If recovery is impossible, or if the pools are too small:

Acid resistant materials.

calcium hydroxide

Decontamination/cleaning

Wash non-recoverable remainder with large amounts of water.

Disposal

Dispose of contents/ container to an approved incineration plant.

Treat recovered material as described in the section "Disposal considerations".
