An Ames test has been performed on the substance and similar Ames tests have been also performed on the similar substances Fish Oil and Rape oil, sulphated sodium salts. All tests are negative and no concern for mutagenicity is expected. On the fish and vegetable derivative, also mutagenicity on mammalian cells and chromosomal aberration have been tested, confirming that no mutagenicity is expected also on mammalian cells.
